Former NSW premier ‘attacked’ at a Sydney shopping centre

Former NSW premier Nathan Rees has reportedly been assaulted by a woman at a western Sydney shopping centre.

Police have confirmed they are investigating an attack by a woman on a 46-year-old man at Seven Hills shops on Wednesday afternoon.

He did not require medical treatment.

Mr Rees was dumped as premier for Kristina Keneally in 2010.

He will retire from public office after 17 years at the March state election.
